Aaron began training at John Zahra’s Shaolin Martial Arts Academy in 1986, attaining the rank of junior black belt in 1989. This set a foundation which was refined when he started at Freestyle Combat Australia, training with Sensei Robert Reid. In 2009, Aaron began training under the direct guidance of Kancho Mick Nicholls, Aaron attained the rank of Level 3 Associate Instructor (fourth degree black belt) in 2019.
In 2013 Aaron formed Freestyle Combat Diamond Valley. After spending the first year teaching out of Elite Dance Studio in Eltham, the school was moved to Integrity Martial Arts Academy in 2014, and in 2016 was moved to its own fixed location in Greensborough called Diamond Valley Martial Arts Academy. As well as teaching, Aaron has continued in his own training under the tutelage of Kancho Mick, an has been learning KFM, DefenceLab, Urban Street Defence, Silat Suffian Bela Diri, Floro Fighting Systems, Kalis Ilustrisimo, Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Pekiti Tirsia Kali, Marcaida Kali and Silat Domas. Drawing on his diverse martial training and influenced greatly by Kuya Doug Marcaida's "thought provoking method", Aaron’s strength is helping others to not only learn a set of techniques, but have an understanding the underlying principles that make them work, focusing on structure, timing and precision.
Aaron also carries all relevant insurance and certifications including a working with children card, first aid level 2 and level 1 national coaching accreditation.

Sifu Simon also holds Victorian and National martial arts titles , he is a devoted community practitioner who understands the true value of martial arts and its therapeutic benefits. As a competitor on the National All Styles circuit Simon is well respected and has a string of competition victories to his name. The "5 animal" Wushu style forms he performs are dynamic and high on the scale of complexity . Sifu Simon continues to demonstrate the flexibility and agility that can only be achieved by a healthy lifestyle and a passion for continual improvement. As a judge and referee, Sifu Simon is sought after within the National All Styles (NAS) for his impartial and professional adjudication. As a NAS referee, Sifu Simon understands what is needed both from a competitors perspective and a referees perspective, this is what makes him valued in competition circles. Sifu Simon Pedelty strives to understand the needs of clients and is able to use his Kung Fu/life coaching knowledge to inspire individuals and their support networks.
Ragu mathew is a 5th Dan in Teshinkai Karate Born 15/04/1975 Shihan Raju Mathew is a 5th Dan in karate and is Branch Chief for India within the International Sabaki karate-do TESHINKAI. Shihan Raju's role within Teshinkai Karate is to bring inspiration, motivation and health through martial arts training to everyone, regarless of gender, race, religion or socio economic background. Recognised widely as a fine martial arts practitioner, Shihan Raju has the skills to bring out the best in all of his students and his track record of quality training within the Kerala distict speaks for itself. Many happy students have gone on to become champions in their own right and all attest to the hard work and commitment that Shihan Raju has provided to ensure that he always has the best interest of his students at heart. Shihan Raju is an advocate for the development of children through martial arts and consequentially he has dedicated much of his time providing martial arts based education programs in schools across his region, benefitting the lives of many thousands of students. Shihan Raju Matthew understands the importance of structure and goal setting for every individual. Shihan Paul is a committed full-time instructor who is also the motivation behind the successful martial arts chain of schools, Kando Martial Arts. He believes that the focus, camaraderie, and personal growth fostered in a well-balanced martial arts program have the potential to change lives for the better. This belief stems from his experience as a career senior ranking police officer, where he witnessed the consequences of misguided youth and lack of structure in people's lives. Shihan Paul insists that martial arts can make a significant difference in today's society.
In addition to his expertise in Karate, Shihan Paul has achieved ranking in Kickboxing, boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Floro Fighting Systems, and Kinetic Fighting. This diverse background allows him to create an inclusive program that provides maximum benefit for a wide range of individuals.
During his 17 years as a member of Victoria Police, Shihan Paul served in various roles, including operational general duties member, member of the Force Response Unit, and Police Instructor. He specialized in Firearms, Defensive Tactics, Conflict Management, and Forced Building Entry, and also conducted research and development into Police Tactics and Training, Forced Building Entry, Siege and Hostage Negotiation, and Close Personal Protection.
Shihan Paul's mission is to share his high-quality martial arts program with as many people as possible and contribute positively to the people of Melbourne.
