Sifu Robert McInnes is Kancho (Director) of Shorin-Kempo Kaikan and director of the World Kumite Organisation (WKO) based in Thailand.
Sifu Robert McInnes leads what is arguable the largest martial arts network, the World Kumite Organisation (WKO.) Sifu McInnes is an accomplished martial artist, who recieved his initial training in Shorin Kempo, which was one of the worlds founding systems out of China.
Sifu McInnes' teaching began in New Zealand and now based in Pattaya in Thailand where he has settled with family and now calls home. Known by many as the fighting capital of the world, Thailand has further developed and influence his development and as a result, the World Kumite Organisation influences martial arts groups in all corners of the globe.
Sifu Mcinnes delivers quality and highly innovative martial arts seminars around the world and continues to expand his organisation for the benefit of all who become involved.
Sifu is highly regarded as a coach and had adopted hard training methodologies to achieve his results. Some of his credits include training world champions such as Peter Aerts 3 times K1 champion, Stan The Man 5 times world champion, Pedro Rizzo UFC world champion, Yodsanan 3k the WBA 130lbs world boxing champion, Yodumlung the former WBA 122lbs world champion, Daniel Dawson ISKA world champion and K1 fighter, Albert Klaus K1 world champion, Chatchai Paiseetong 3 times Lumpinee world champion, The tank (Lort Tung, Sukmongkol Sitchuchork 5 time world champion, Rambo II the ISS Muay Thai Champion, Nick Kara, Judd Reid World Kumite Champion and many more, these are just to name a few. Sifu is one of the very few that has managed to understand and define the art of fighting using traditional methods, and have great success.
As founder and chief of the World Kumite Organisation, he has achieved huge success in the promotion of world karate. At a time when the originals of the world martial arts scene are passing and organisations splintering, Kancho Sifu McInnes realised his dream to bring the industry together by creating a world circuit, one of friendship and integrity. Today WKO provides martial artists from all styles and denominations to come together as friends to enjoy the spirit of play and advance their growth as individuals.
