Cassandra (Cassy) Heenan

Cassandra (Cassy) Heenan is a highly accomplished martial artist and the esteemed manager of Heenan Taekwondo. With a diverse range of achievements and qualifications, she has established herself as a prominent figure in the world of Taekwondo.

With an impressive background in Taekwondo, Cassy is the Secretary General of the Korea Taekwondo Association Australia, Cassy also holds the esteemed rank of 3rd Dan in the International Pro Taekwondo Federation, showcasing her exceptional skills and mastery of the art. Additionally, she holds a 2nd Dan in both Kukkiwan and traditional Taekwondo, having trained under the esteemed Moon Lee/Jidokwan lineage.

Cassy's talent and dedication have propelled her to success in numerous competitions. She proudly secured the title of Australian Champion at the KTA Championships in 2022, further cementing her reputation as a formidable athlete in the country.

Not only is Cassy a remarkable practitioner, but she is also a respected coach and referee. She is an accredited coach in Australian Taekwondo, possessing the knowledge and expertise to guide aspiring athletes on their martial arts journey. Furthermore, her skills as an accredited referee demonstrate her commitment to maintaining fairness and upholding the integrity of the sport.

Prior to her involvement in martial arts, Cassy excelled in the corporate world as an account manager at Virgin Australia. This professional experience has equipped her with valuable skills in leadership, organization, and communication, which she now applies to her role as the manager of Heenan Taekwondo.

In her current position, Cassy diligently oversees the operations and growth of Heenan Taekwondo. Her passion for the art, combined with her exceptional skills and management acumen, has contributed to the academy's reputation as a premier martial arts institution.
