Introduction

Meet Grand Master Jamie Moore, a renowned martial artist holding an impressive 9th Degree Black Belt in Taekwon-do ITF. With the highest rank attainable under the ITF, his expertise and dedication are unquestionable. Inducted into the prestigious Taekwondo Hall of Fame, Grand Master Jamie has been a global ambassador for Taekwon-do since the early 80s. Throughout his journey, he has assessed and promoted over two thousand black belts and over fifty thousand colored belts, leaving an indelible mark on the world of Taekwondo.

Recognized for his exceptional contributions, Grand Master Jamie Moore was honored with the esteemed 9-star Outstanding Instructors medal by the ITF, as well as the revered General Choi Loyalty award. Furthermore, he serves as the President of the Organizing Committee for the 14th ITF Senior World Taekwondo Championships, held in Australia.

Grand Master Moore's martial arts odyssey began in 1976, embarking on his training in the Rhee Taekwon-do system under the tutelage of the esteemed World Master Instructor, Rhee Chong Chul—one of the original 12 Masters of Taekwon-do. Early on, he solidified his foundation under the guidance of Mr. Wee Hin Cheah from Malaysia in 1980, reminiscing on the rigorous training and instilled traditional values. It was during this period that he achieved his well-deserved black belt.

In 1981, an iconic moment unfolded when General Choi Hong Hi and the renowned Chang Keun Choi, both pioneers in Taekwon-do, visited Brisbane, Australia for the OTF. Grand Master Moore had the privilege of training under General Choi and GM C. K. Choi during a seminar, leaving a lasting impact on his martial arts journey.

From 1981 to 1989, Grand Master Moore showcased his skills in numerous Karate, Kickboxing, and Free Style Taekwondo Tournaments, emerging victorious in sparring events. However, the Rhee TKD school charter at the time did not support tournaments, which eventually led his instructor to depart from the Rhee TKD system.

In 1991, an exciting opportunity arose as General Choi and Grandmaster Charles E. Sereff from the USA conducted a four-day seminar in Ballarat, Australia. During this event, Jamie Moore was promoted to the esteemed rank of 4th Dan International Instructor/Examiner and certified as an ITF International Umpire 'A.'

Further expanding his horizons, Grand Master Moore ventured to the USA in 1993 to attend the World Sereff Taekwon-do Training Camp, where the legendary General Choi was a special guest.

Above all else, Grand Master Jamie Moore is a devoted martial artist, committed to the well-being and development of his students across the Austral-Asia region. Residing on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, you can contact him through the Coach Check message service on his profile.
