Mike Williams: A Distinguished Karate Instructor and Representative
Mike Williams has dedicated his life to the martial arts, amassing extensive experience and prestigious titles over four decades. He began his karate training in 1982 with Hayashi-Ha Shito-Ryu in Perth, Australia, achieving his Shodan rank in 1998 and Nidan in 2000. His passion and commitment to karate led him to affiliate directly with Mabuni Kenzo in Osaka, Japan.
In 2003, Mike became the official representative for Mabuni Kenzo, and following Mabuni Kenzo's passing in 2005, he continued under the guidance of Mabuni Tsukasa. He has traveled regularly to Japan, earning his Sandan, Yondan, Godan, and Rokudan ranks with Shito-Ryu Nippon Karate-Do Kai in Osaka. His dedication and skill were recognized in 2009 when he received his Shihan menkyo (Master Instructor license), and in 2022, he was honored with the title of Kyoshi after grading to Rokudan.
Mike's journey in karate is marked by continuous learning and teaching. In 1999, he founded the Williams Family Karate Academy, where he has been imparting his knowledge and expertise to students for over two decades.
