Remarkably, by the age of 15, Sudarshan had already embarked on a career as a Karate coach, demonstrating his exceptional skill and leadership in the martial arts community.
With over 34 years of training experience, Sudarshan has become a highly respected figure in the world of Karate. He has trained a diverse range of participants from Nepal and Belgium, including individuals from police and military backgrounds. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, technique, and the holistic development of his students, instilling in them the values of respect, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
Throughout his illustrious career, Sudarshan has achieved significant milestones and contributed extensively to the promotion and development of Karate. His career highlights include serving as a referee and coordinator in the prestigious Poonam Memorial Cup held in Kathmandu in 1996, showcasing his expertise in officiating and organizing martial arts events. In 1997, he coached at the World Championship held in Japan, further solidifying his reputation as a skilled instructor and mentor on the international stage.
In 2001, Sudarshan served as a referee in the 8th Asian Championship held in Kolkata, India, adding to his credentials as a respected authority in Karate competitions. His personal achievements include earning his Brown Belt in 1995, followed swiftly by his Black Belt 1st Dan in 1996 and Black Belt 2nd Dan in 1997, highlighting his continuous progression and mastery of Karate skills.
In recognition of his contributions and leadership in Karate, Sudarshan was honored with the title of branch chief in 2010. This prestigious appointment enabled him to acquire land in Kathmandu, where he plans to establish an indoor sports hall dedicated to Kyokushin Karate in the near future. His vision reflects his commitment to providing a dedicated space for training and fostering the next generation of martial artists in Nepal.
