Introduction
Mr. Lange is a 4th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and was the first on the BJJ and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) scene in Sydney, starting a club in 1994 that is now celebrating 25 years of high quality instruction. The club has produced many of Australia’s leading BJJ athletes and MMA fighters. The club has a great depth of skilled BJJ practitioners from all belt levels. Anthony Lange has well over thirty-five years experience and has fought, coached and trained all over the world. Anthony is the 2014 World Masters Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion in his Black Belt division, being the first Aussie male black belt to win gold at an International World tournament. He also won the gold medal in 2003 at the International Masters in Brazil as a Brown Belt. This is particularly notable due to Anthony being the first ever Australian to achieve Gold at an International competition Anthony’s first competition win was in 1994 and since then has competed at every belt level, with gold medals in State, National and Pan Pacific competitions. Anthony is one of Australia’s Pioneers in the sport of MMA being one of the first to fight professionally on the local and international scene in Japan in both Vale Tudo and Shooto. He holds black belts and teaching certificates in Shoot System (MMA), Northside Kickboxing, Corral Arnis, Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Stav. Anthony Lange has a passion for coaching and trains people from all ages, ranging from 5 years to 75 years, he personally conducts fifteen public classes per week and offers private lessons to club members.
