Introduction
Sinn Chew is a 6th Dan in Karate Sensei Sinn commenced his martial arts journey in 1973. He trained in Shotokan Karate, KungFu and Kickboxing, only switching to GojuRyu in1990. In 2004, he commenced training in Judo and BJJ. Sinn Chew is an educator and martial arts instructor, held in high regard by all who know him. As the Chief instructor of the University of Queensland (UQ Karate Club), his influence and mentorship, has served many hundreds of students. His devotion to deepen his understanding in GojuRyu is matched only with a long-standing commitment to demonstrate the essence of the style, and to bring about the very best in each and every student. His teaching style undoubtedly optimises the body, strengthen the mind and encourage the fighting spirit. He is truly an inspiration to his students, or to any new or senior student interested and passionate about learning Karate, and keeping fit and conditioned, with self defense skills in mind. The mindset for developing Karate and life skills is parallel. Sinn is unique in that he continually tries to de-mystify the ancient martial arts, and to demonstrate the relationship between the traditional basics and modern fighting methodologies.
