Introduction

Ed Bavelock is a Professional martial arts coach with over 35 years on the mat and in the ring. He started his combat sports journey on the wrestling mats in the USA back in the 1970s and won a Cape & Islands title plus captained the 1981 OCL champs team. Ed stepped into the world of karate earning a 2nd Dan in Goju, and full-contact ring fighting was his focus through to the 1990s where he won New England, East Coast and national USA titles. He was also the USA super middleweight Muay Thai champion in 1992. Over the last 2 decades, Ed has worked hard as a MMA coach in Australia training pros and amateurs such as Brian Ebersole, Banjo Patterson, Charlie Alaniz, Supi Lanumata, Raja Shippen, and Oil Can Cowley. In 2015, Ed earned his 4th Dan in Shito Ryu.
