Matt Constable is a 3rd Dan karateka. Sensei Matt began his martial art training over 30 years ago. A multi Karate stylist Sensei Matt has achieved a high level of proficiency as a martial artist both in the physical and psychological sense. Sensei Matt is a well respected teacher at the Teshinkai dojo in Bendigo, he has helped many hundreds of students accomplish their own goals, and is considered an invaluable part of the Teshinkai Academy. Matts experience in American freestyle karate and Filipino martial arts make him a proficient all rounder, however his skills are best spent on the karate dojo floor where he can provide insight to others regarding the proficiency of his chosen karate style. Sensei Matt has post graduate qualifications in Psychology, and Sports Physiology, both of which contribute to his involvement in martial arts. There is no doubt that his karate has helped develop his interest in psychology and physiology but, its more accurate to say that it's his study in these fields that has made him the respected and popular coach that he is. Sensei Matt is also a passionate cricket coach, administrator and researcher in addition to having qualifications in Computer Security. As an accredited Cricket Australia Level 2 coach, he has proven himself a multi faceted, talented and sought after coach. Currently, he is self-employed as an Exercise Physiologist and, in his spare time, is pursuing a PhD at La Trobe University investigating biomechanics and injury aspects of cricket fast bowling. His coaching philosophy is simply; to help people to be the best they can be no matter what their goals are.
